107

FOLLOWING footsteps of his grandfather Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, the youngest Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari representing Pakistan at Global Forums in well-established principles with a professional manner to rise Islamabad’s key issues like Kashmir, Climate Change and country’s need to attract international companies, businesses, and Digital Giants, etc.
Ranging from Kashmir cause to a new era, the current Foreign Minister advocating Islamabad’s core interests in a way that can remind us Bhutto’s efforts for giving Kashmiris the right of self-determination and introducing various reforms like Land Reforms, Labor Reforms, Industrial and Corporate Reforms, Economic Reforms Order, Banking Reforms, Health Reforms, Law Reforms and many more.
At this stage Bilawal’s work cannot be ranked as equal to the achievements of his grandfather, but the guts he has carrying the potential to convince Pakistanis for giving him a chance to become Prime Minister one day.
FM’s interactions at Local, Regional and Global Forums gave stark reminder to the UN and the International community about the long-standing unfinished agenda’ which required global community’s collective efforts for a peaceful resolution of Kashmir dispute.
Yesterday, FM during a joint press conference in Islamabad with the Secretary General of Organization of Islamic Countries (OIC) Hissein Brahim Taha expressed the hope that OIC Chief’s visit to Azad Jammu and Kashmir would send a message to the entire world that the entire Ummah stands united with the people of IIOJK.
In his address at the Institute of Strategic Studies in Islamabad on June 16, Bilawal gave clear and firm signal to New Delhi saying: “We have our issues with India. Pakistan and India have a long history of war, conflict. Today, where we have serious disputes, the events of August 2019 cannot be taken lightly”.
Coming to the diplomacy that is necessary for peoples’ well-being, Mr. Bhutto Saturday made an important announcement following his meetings with officials from Meta, Facebook Mother Firm, in its Asia Pacific Headquarters in Singapore. “BIG NEWS for Pakistan from Meta in Singapore. From now on, Pakistani creators on Facebook can earn money from their content through the new Facebook stars feature,” he tweeted.
The development basically encouraged Pakistan to see Meta’s contribution in supporting local businesses and opening up different ways for local content creators to generate meaningful, reliable revenue on their Platforms. It’s expected that the Stars Program will create new opportunities to monetize and play a role in strengthening the country’s digital economy.
Moving to Bilawal’s efforts for realizing the World’s top Economies that they are responsible for disasters caused by Global Warming and drastic raise in the Climate Change for which Pakistan is paying the unjustifiable price as recent floods vandalized Pakistan’s GDP, faradized our Agricultural productions, displaced millions of people, gave about 50 billion US Dollars shock to the National Economy.
“In monumental achievement for Climate Justice & G77 led by Pakistan, the COP27 has successfully concluded with Loss and Damage as part of the agenda including a fund and financial arrangements to address this issue,” FM had said. It was Pakistan’s diplomats headed by Bilawal that convinced Group of 77 to adopt Climate Damage Funds.
