ISLAMABAD: Chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA) and Chief Commissioner Islamabad, Muhammad Ali Randhawa, along with Member Engineering Syed Nafasat Raza and other concerned officers, visited the T-Chowk Flyover project and conducted a detailed review of the ongoing construction work while inspecting various sections of the project.
The concerned officers briefed Chairman CDA Muhammad Ali Randhawa on the progress achieved so far and informed him that the development work on the T-Chowk Flyover project has successfully entered its final stages ahead of the stipulated timeline. During the briefing, it was said that finishing work has already commenced prior to making the flyover operational.
It was further informed that attractive landscaping and horticulture work around the project is progressing at a rapid pace, while the installation of permanent decorative lighting to further enhance the beauty of the project is also being carried out swiftly.
Chairman CDA Muhammad Ali Randhawa was also informed that preparations for the formal inauguration of the project are in full swing, and immediately after the inauguration, the T-Chowk Flyover will be opened to the general traffic.
Expressing satisfaction over the pace of development work and the high quality standards maintained, Chairman CDA said that while the project is being completed ahead of schedule, no compromise has been made on the quality of construction. He said that the T-Chowk Flyover project will benefit commuters not only from the twin cities but also travelers coming from Lahore and other parts of Punjab.
Chairman CDA further said that upon completion of this project, a signal-free entry into the Federal Capital Islamabad from GT Road will be ensured. He added that providing the citizens of Islamabad with the best travel facilities and modernizing infrastructure remain the top priorities of the authority.
