ISLAMABAD: In line with the direction of Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, the construction work is progressing rapidly on the T-Chowk Flyover project. Chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA) and Chief Commissioner Islamabad, Muhammad Ali Randhawa, visited the T-Chowk, Rawat Flyover project on Thursday along with relevant CDA officers, the contractor, consultant, and the project director, and reviewed the development activities in detail.
During the briefing, Chairman CDA Muhammad Ali Randhawa was informed that 100% of the project’s piling work has been completed. Similarly, 84% of the girder casting work and 60% of the safety wall construction have also been completed. He was briefed that construction activities are continuing rapidly on a 24/7 basis.
Chairman CDA expressed satisfaction with the progress of the development work. He directed that a landscaping and horticulture plan be presented soon to enhance the project’s aesthetics. He instructed that the construction work should be further expedited so that it must meet all its timeline and targets.
Chairman CDA said that beautiful permanent LED lights should be installed around the project. He directed that cleanliness be ensured in the completed sections of the development work and emphasized that high standards of construction quality must be guaranteed at all costs.
Chairman CDA said that the T-Chowk Flyover project will provide signal-free travel facilities not only for the twin cities but also for passengers coming from Lahore/Punjab. He directed the consultants and resident engineers to ensure the timely completion of construction work and its high quality under all circumstances.
