Chairman CDA inuagrates twin cities’ first public neurology & stroke centre

ISLAMABAD: Chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA) and Chief Commissioner Islamabad, Muhammad Ali Randhawa, attended the inauguration ceremony of the twin cities’ first public Neurology and Stroke Centre along with the Paediatric Dermatology and Telemedicine Department, at Capital Hospital Islamabad on Friday, as the chief guest on the occasion of World Diabetes Day. He inaugurated the twin cities’ first public Neurology and Stroke Centre, the Paediatric Dermatology Unit and the Telemedicine Department. The ceremony was attended by Capital Hospital’s Executive Director Dr. Naeem Taj, Head of Endocrinology Department Dr. Sarwar Malik, Dr. Aiman Malik, Dr. Farhan, Dr. Sarfraz, Dr. Fatima Bilal, Dr. Hanan, Dr. Maria Shafi, and all medical specialists of Capital Hospital.

Addressing the inaugural ceremony, Chairman CDA and Chief Commissioner Islamabad Muhammad Ali Randhawa said that patients should always be the top priority in treatment. He emphasized that in this modern era, public access to quality medical facilities, timely diagnosis and advanced equipment along with the research is crucial to ensure effective treatment of complex diseases. On this occasion, he commended the hospital’s efforts in promoting public health, awareness campaigns for disease prevention, and specifically for diabetes, stroke and other chronic illnesses. Appreciating the dedication, professional expertise and high standard of patient care of the entire Capital Hospital team. Chairman CDA said that such initiatives not only improve community health but also enhance public trust in public sector health care system.

Addressing the ceremony, Dr. Naeem Taj said that Capital Hospital Islamabad is not only deeply committed but also always ready to provide the community with quality and compassionate healthcare facilities. He said that through continuous innovation, academic research and specialized services, they are striving to become a center of excellence for high-quality care in Islamabad. He also stressed the importance of a multidisciplinary approach and telemedicine in modern patient treatment.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, Chairman CDA Muhammad Ali Randhawa expressed his full support for Capital Hospital’s future endeavors and paid tribute to the services of Executive Director Dr. Naeem Taj and all medical and paramedical staff. Subsequently, Chairman CDA participated in the awareness walk held on World Diabetes Day. Shields were also distributed among the doctors who participated in the event and presented their research findings.
