Under the chairmanship of the chief secretary Azad Jammu and Kashmir Dr Muhammad Usman Chachar, a high level meeting was held to review the progress of the ongoing national census in AJK.
Senior Member Board of Revenue Chaudhry Liaqat Hussain, Secretary Planning and Development Muhammad Idris Abbasi, Secretary Education Schools Muhammad Zahid Abbasi, Director General Information Raja Azhar Iqbal, Special Secretary Interior, Commissioners of the three divisions, DIGs were present in the meeting.
In the meeting, Commissioner Muzaffarabad Division, Commissioner Mirpur Division, Commissioner Poonch Division presented their report about their respective work and told that the census work in Muzaffarabad Division is 98% complete, in Mirpur Division more than 95% and in Poonch Division also more than 95% has been completed while the remaining work of census will be completed by the stipulated period.
Chief Secretary Azad Kashmir appreciated the performance of all the departments regarding the census and said that the progress was only possible due to the excellent performance of the departments. He directed the respective departments to complete the remaining work of the census by April 10.
