Islamabad, October 27, 2025: President of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Barrister Sultan Mahmood Chaudhry, held a detailed meeting with Chief Justice of the AJK Supreme Court, Justice Raja Saeed Akram Khan, at the Aiwan-e-Sadr, Kashmir House, Islamabad.
During the meeting, both leaders discussed matters related to the vacant position of a judge in the Supreme Court of Azad Jammu and Kashmir and exchanged views on various judicial and administrative affairs of mutual interest.
Chief Justice Raja Saeed Akram Khan also briefed the President about the recently held Judicial Conference in Muzaffarabad. President Sultan Mahmood congratulated the Chief Justice on the successful organization of the event, terming it a remarkable achievement for Azad Kashmir’s judicial system.
He said the participation of the Chief Justice of Pakistan, Justice Yahya Afridi, in the conference was a positive and encouraging development that would have far-reaching effects on strengthening judicial cooperation and enhancing the exemplary relations between Pakistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
The two dignitaries also discussed broader issues of governance, institutional collaboration, and continued efforts to uphold justice and the rule of law in Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
