Leaders belonging to different political parties express grief, terming death a huge loss
Condolences have poured in on the demise of the veteran politician and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz’s (PML-N) leader Senator Mushahidullah Khan who breathed his last on Wednesday night.
Mushahidullah, who was set to retire from the upper house of parliament on March 11, passed away at the age of 68.
The cause of death was unknown till the filing of this report. However, according to various media reports the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz leader was seriously ill since December last year.
Leaders belonging to various political parties expressed deep grief on the veteran politician’s passing away, terming it a loss for the nation.
PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz took to Twitter to express grief on the senator’s passing away.
Condoling the death, PML-N’s leader Khawaja Saad Rafique said that the party has been deprived of a sagacious and ideological leader.
Pakistan Peoples Party’s (PPP) Secretary General Nayyer Bukhari said that Mushahidullah Khan was a brave and seasoned politician, and was a strong voice for the opposite in and outside of the Parliament.
He further said that the late senator’s role in the country’s politics will always be remembered, saying his death has left a void that can never be filled.
Expressing grief, former senator Farhatullah Babar, said that “apart from the loss to family & friends, his passing away is also a loss of senate.”
People from different walks of life also took to the microblogging website to express grief on the death.
