MUZAFFARABAD: Chief Secretary Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Dr. Shehzad Khan Bangash presided over a session to inspect the current situation of coronavirus pandemic here on Monday.
Speaking at the occasion, Chief Secretary said that ease in lockdown was announced to facilitate masses and particularly the business community. But, there should be no violation of SOPs. Information department should initiate an awareness program. The second wave of coronavirus pandemic would be more dangerous than that of the first one. The only way to protect oneself from virus is to follow the SOPs strictly. Government is committed to provide best facilities in the hospitals, he added.
Secretary Health, Inspector General Police, Secretary Education and Colleges, Special Secretary Interior, Director General Health, and all the three Divisional Commissioners attended the session through video link.
While briefing the session, Secretary Health said that there are positive impacts of recent lockdown. The situation of the spread of coronavirus pandemic came in control due to lockdown, he added.
Chief Secretary directed the departments to continuously give their best for controlling the spread of coronavirus in the state.
