The Pakistani population has reached to an alarming situation. Just imagine in 2020, it was 220,892,340 with the growth rate of 1.9 % .The accelerated outburst in terms of its explosion has created panic in the society, where the shortage of resources has increased the poverty level and affected the standard of life badly. The population of Pakistan was 8.3% of the total population (8.7 Billion) in the world, and Pakistan stands on 6th position amongst 193 countries. Within the coming three decades Pakistan will be a country with huge population after China and India. The present situation of Pakistan population has raised many questions like how youth of more than 141,371,098 could be turn in to productive and skilled generation in the future? The worst situation could be seen in literacy and economic levels of survival on the planet. With speedy increase in population the decreasing level of socieo economic condition is still another question to be answered? The previous census had more information’s however; many questions had risen on its authenticity and accuracy always. The current digital census in Pakistan will pave way, to answer all such questions and clear ambiguity, in data collection with more accuracy and authenticity. The census with digital background will also identify the requirements and resources to design future strategy and provide plate form for social scientist to understand and develop mechanism to coup with future challenges. In Pakistan first census took place in 1951.Then after each 10 years the census were carried out like in 1961, 1972, 1981,1998, however huge gaps could be find in two decades after 2000 when the 6th census were held in 2017.Since 7th January,2023 the 7th Digital census process has been initiated .The ToT will trained the enumerators and supervisor in three different phases and it has been completed by 28th February 2023. The population census will includes the number of people in particular area ,the number of households ,birth growth and rate, death rate businesses, profession ,economic status, land possessing data, educational qualification ,level of poverty, motor vehicles ,farms, cereals ,taxes and everything which is related with human development in overall. This time exposure and best practices from the world top class countries have been included in the census like Canada, USA, Australia etc and it is a good indicator. The current digital census has already sensitized the communities to plan their activities keeping in view the explosion of population Bomb. The print electronic and social media is activated so that each one in the society must understand its value and participate in the process as best citizen. Although, the population in the world is increasing with enormous speed but few countries like China, India, Pakistan and Bangladesh have no parallel in the history. The digital population census will be initiated since 1st March 2023. The training had been completed in the last two months. The Digital census format has been designed in such a way that it is self-explanatory. It is so easy to understand and filled without enumerators. Once the form is completed it can be directly, downloaded and send to central office. It does not require Wi-Fi connection even and in such cases the data will transferred automatically. The digital census will give complete details of society>.It will provide platform to the planners and policy makers to develop a system with gaps filling nature while understanding the future needs and requirements.

The Pakistan beaurue of statistics is fully connected with NADRA to cooperate in case of confusion and streamlining it properly. It is hoped that this digital census will solve half of the problems related to population by analyzing the situation. The base line survey will provide information for bringing improvements in the lives of people. It depends upon the rulers and policy makers how to utilize the information and make a difference in the lives of people at the eve of 21st century.
