Mirpur () The Minister for Energy and Water Resources AJK Chaudhary Arshad Hussain has said that the government of Azad Kashmir is taking every possible measure for the promotion of education.
He was speaking at the annual prize distribution ceremony of District Elementary Education Board. He said that due to the efforts of the government, the rate of literacy has increased in AJK. He said that it is the duty of the teachers to play their role not only in building the character of the students but also in making the standard of education higher. He said that the government would take steps for the welfare of the teachers and give them facilities.
“Though the results of public sector educational institutes are satisfactory, there is still room for improvement. The results should be made better so that the confidence of people in government schools may be enhanced”, he added.
The minister assured that the issues regarding the building of District Elementary Board and the problems faced by the employees of the board would be resolved.
He also announced Rs100,000 for the toppers students.
