During Eid festival at Muzaffarabad, local culture would be exhibited and stalls of traditional Kashmiri food would be set up to attract local people and tourists from all over the country.
This was decided in the meeting of the management committee of the festival. Deputy Commissioner Muzaffarabad Raja Tahir Mumtaz chaired the meeting.
Sufi night, paragliding, horse riding, river rafting, food stalls , marathon race , exhibition of books and other cultural and tourist activities would be the important features of the colourful festivity.
To inform the tourist about the history of the capital city, MUzaffarabad ,a special bus service would be plied during the festival which would take tourists to archeological sites of the town.
Different kinds of swings would also be installed to amuse children in the festival.
Representatives of different concerned departments gave the briefing about their preparedness for the festival.
The DC told the meeting that the competitions of different sports would be organized in the festivals in which teams form AJK and Gilgit Baltistan would participate. In this connection the motor boating would be carried out from Old Baradari to three lonar Chattar.
During the festival ‘Pride of Muzaffarabad awards’ would be given to those personalities who raised the name of the country in different fields.
The DC said that the Eid festival would be full of fun and enjoyment so not only the local people but also tourists from all over the country are invited to attend the festivity.
