The chairman of Pakistan People’s Party, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has unexpectedly said that the years old style of politics is taking Pakistan to disaster instead of improvement. He further said that the PDM government was a failure.
Now Bilawal is the byproduct of the current political system, and his father Asif Zardari who is called the champion of it. Secondly Bilawal Zardari even enjoyed full power as foreign minister during the tenure of PDM government. If it was a failure, then why did he not realize as minister and why his party did not leave the treasury benches.
He is asking people to give him a chance as youth can change the destination of the country. But everybody knows that if PPP would emerge victorious in the upcoming elections then whose policies would prevail in the country.
The three big political parties especially PPP and PML(N) cannot claim this that that will bring the change in the country as both the parties remained in the power for at least foe three times. Though PTI came into power for three and half years but it got competitively less chance than two senior political parties.
This is the way that Bilawal is adopting during the election campaign and also reflects the old style of politics that is hoodwinking the people. On one hand Bilawal is criticizing PML(N) and on the other side his father is making close terms with the parties that were part and parcel of the previous PDM’s government.
It is the political culture of the country that during election campaign every leader of every political party make tall claim and promises to the people which cannot be realized at all but people always believe in the jugglery of words of the leaders and vote them on the hope that after coming to the power that after coming to power they would change their lives but every time they lost their expectations as after winning the election the leader indulge in corrupt practices instead of resolving the problems of their voters.
The politics in Pakistan has become the only blame game in the country as all the political leaders involved in let down their political opponents. People know that politics is a dirty business and all the players of this unclean game are nude in the pond.
There is one thing confirmed by keeping the past in view that there is not any final word in politics as friends of today can become enemies tomorrow and the current foes can become allies in the days to come.
There seems to be a difference in the behavior of the people, as they look apparently contrary to those political leaders who change their political affiliations before every election this time. But it would not affect the results so much as the papulation is divided on the political front as all the three parties including PPP, PTI and PML(N) have the public support and active vote bank.
