A meeting of the Food Department Azad Jammu and Kashmir government was convened at Kashmir House Islamabad, chaired by Azad Jammu and Kashmir Prime Minister Chaudhry Anwar-ul-Haq On 27 April 2023,
During the meeting, the Prime Minister emphasized the need for the proper supply of quality flour in all districts of Azad Kashmir, ensuring accurate weighing systems to provide the prescribed weight of flour to the public.
He also directed officials to ensure the supply of subsidized flour to eligible citizens and to take strict action against those who supply substandard items.
The Prime Minister mentioned that the PASSCO issue will be brought before the federal government and urged the Food Authority to become active and take all necessary measures to provide quality items to people across the state.
The Secretary Food Mansoor Qadir Dar provided a detailed briefing to the Prime Minister on the wheat and flour situation throughout the state.
Senior minister Colonel (retd) Waqar Noor, Government Minister Raja Faisal Mumtaz Rathore, Secretary Food Mansoor Qadir Dar, Director Food, and senior officials Sardar Muhammad Tariq were among the attendees.
