Farooq Haider expresses determination to make Rawalakot a model city

MUZAFFARABAD : The Azad Jammu and Kashmir Prime Minister Raja Muhammad Farooq Haider Khan has expressed his determination to take all possible steps to make Rawalakot a model city and to protect the nature in order to promote the tourisim activities in the region. In this connection Pearl Development Authority can play an effective and vibrant role to make Rawalakot a centre of tourists activities. Presiding over a high level meeting of pearl development authority Rawalakot here on Wednesday, he said a number of projects are underway in Rawalakot to extend maximum facilities to the tourists. He said tourist activities would further take momentum with the completion of Rawalakot toli peer lasdana road and added that the government would extend maximum facilities to the tourists to promote tourism potential in the area and assured that government would extend financial assistance to the authority.
He asked the concerned authorities to protect the forest wealth and environments around the banjosa lake and also to save nature. The Prime Minister on this occasion set up a high level committee regarding the allotment issues of plots and directed the committee to submit a detailed report within the 24 hours . He directed to finalize the allotment cases and hand over the possessions of plots to those persons who have already made the payments of the plots including overseas Kashmiri and urged the official to ensure effectively follow of the cases in the civil courts.
Meanwhile the Prime Minister also presided over a high level meeting of the AKLASC Board and reviewed the golden shake hand scheme extended by the government to the employees. The meeting was informed that complete payment has been made to 190 employees while a major portion of the amount has also been given to the rest of the employees. The Prime Minister directed to intensify the sale of the assets of the corporation to make the full payment to the employees. The meeting was also attended by the Education Minister Barrister Iftakhar Gillani.
