Mirpur: General Officer Commanding 23 Division, Major General Muhammad Intikhab Alam, participated in a meeting of administrative officers at the Commissioner Office Mirpur along with Commissioner Chaudhry Shaukat Ali and DIG Police Chaudhry Sajjad Hussain.
In the meeting, briefings were given regarding the completion of Rathoa Haryam Bridge, improvement of law and order situation, developmental projects in Mirpur Division including the resolution of issues related to Mangla Dam affectees, developmental work on LOC, promotion of religious harmony in all districts of the division, and ensuring the supremacy of law and constitution.
Commissioner Mirpur Division Chaudhry Shaukat Ali and DIG Police Chaudhry Sajjad Hussain briefed them on security and law enforcement issues. On this occasion, Brigadier Zakauallah, Director General MDA Chaudhry Muhammad Mansha Naqshbandi, Chairman District Council Raja Naveed Akhtar Goga, Additional Commissioner Chaudhry Sajjad Islam, SE WAPDA Ziyad Akbar, Dr. Fida Hussain Raja, Director MDA Yaser Bashir, Project Director Rathoa Haryam Bridge Sardar Habib Mughal, Deputy Director Rathoa Haryam Bridge Muhammad Arfan, Information Officer Muhammad Javaid Malik, and other army officials were also present.
Major General Muhammad Intikhab Alam said that the civil bureaucracy is the backbone of the state’s development. Officers and employees should fulfill their duties within the framework of their official responsibilities and prioritize the development and well-being of the people. He emphasized on the coordination among all developmental institutions and ensuring the implementation of law and constitution.
He said that all hurdles in the completion of Rathoa Haryam Bridge will be removed and he will ensure its timely completion. He also emphasized on the completion of all pending issues related to L.O.C and provision of health, communication, and other facilities to the people. He stressed that there is nothing above law and constitution and action should be taken against those who disturb the peace of the state and spread religious discord.
Commissioner Chaudhry Shaukat Ali briefed them in detail about the developmental projects in all districts of the division including the shortage of funds, removing obstacles in the completion of Rathoa Haryam Bridge, rehabilitation of affectees of Mangla Dam, and completion of remaining developmental work related to WAPDA, while DIG Police Chaudhry Sajjad Hussain briefed them about the establishment of peace and security across the division.
