Good governance , relief to people are the top priorities of the government. AJK PM

Muzaffarabad:  Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Chaudhry Anwar-ul-Haq has said that good governance is the hallmark of his government.

He was chairing the meeting of the parliamentary party, here on Friday. The meeting was attended by 18 members of the assembly.

The PM AJK said that the purpose of the current government is  to address the issues of the common people along with the implementation of development projects.

He stated that the upcoming budget will focus on the industrial sector, and bureaucrats have been directed to come up with innovative ideas.

“We need to move together the state towards the path of progress so that the expectations of the common people from the government can be fulfilled.  Special focus will be given to the fields of education and health, as these sectors directly affect the general public”,he added.

The PM said that funds will be allocated and all necessary resources will be provided to improve the quality of treatment in divisional, district, and tehsil-level hospitals.

He said that concrete measures will be taken to ensure quality education in schools, colleges, and universities. He urged the assembly members to come forward and openly present suggestions where they believe resources need to be allocated for the benefit and prosperity of the public.

The Prime Minister said that he himself is accountable to the public, and his colleagues should be prepared for the same. He said that they are committed to transparent governance, and by the grace of Allah, the public will witness real change that fulfills their expectations.

During the meeting, there was complete agreement on increasing the number of ministers, and the proposed budget was also reviewed.

The meeting was attended by Chaudhry Muhammad Rashid, Sardar Mir Akbar, Zafar Malik, Asim Sharif Butt, Chaudhry Muhammad Arshad, Chaudhry Yasir Sultan, Nasir Ansar Abdali, Abdul Majid Khan, Chaudhry Akhlaq, Javed Butt, Chaudhry Akbar Ibrahim, Peer Mazhar Saeed, Akmal Sargala, Azhar Sadiq, Taqdees Gilani, Sabiha Sadiq, and Imtiaz Naseem, however Dewan Ali Chughtai could not attend the meeting due to illness of his mother.
