Dheerkot: Ameer Jamaat-i-Islami Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Dr. Khalid Mahmood Khan has said that the government should provide relief to the poor in the budget instead of increasing the number of ministers.

While addressing a gathering, he said that the AJK government should refrain from reducing the powers granted to the state through the 13th constitutional amendment, rather there should be further deliberation on increasing them.

He said that the Kashmir people in India are facing the worst state-sponsored terrorism by imposing a lockdown on them. The international community should take note of this.

He said that the major reason for the Muslim Ummah’s current difficulties is their distance from the Quran and Sunnah.

Dr. Khalid said that Jamaat-i-Islami is striving for the implementation of Islamic system in the country.

He said that the government should allocate funds for Islamic seminaries and Madrasas in upcoming budget.

“By strictly adhering to the teachings of Islam, we can prosper in both this world and the hereafter. Strengthening our relationship with the Quran is the solution to all our problems”, he added.
