Muzaffarabad: On the appeal of the Central Seerat Committee , different segments of the civil society including bar association , organizations of government employees and journalists participated in “Yum Hurmat-i-Quran.”
In this connection a conference was held here from which President of the Central Seerat Committee, Atiq Ahmad Kiani said that the blasphemy of setting fire to the Holy Quran in Sweden is not acceptable for the Muslims.
He said that “Hurmat-i-Quran Rally” would be held on 7th July after Friday prayers at Bank Road Muzaffarabad against the Sweden incident. He said that Central Seerat Committee are holding meetings with the leaders from various walks of life including teachers ,scholars, lawyers, organizations of government servants, journalists and different religious schools of thought inviting them to participate in the rally and all the organizations expressed their full cooperation and support.
Speaking on the occasion, Atiq Kiyani said that that the desecration of the Holy Quran in Sweden is an attack on Islam. This conspiracy is a test of the honor and faith of the Muslim Ummah.
“We need to come out of our homes and record our protest to demonstrate our faith-based honor. We cannot fight with swords or missiles, but we can raise our voice and shake the conscience of our rulers to sever all relations, trade, diplomacy, and politics with those who do not respect the religion of Islam.”
He said that the government of Pakistan should immediately sever all political, diplomatic, and moral relations with the Swedish government and expel the Swedish ambassador if he does not seek forgiveness from the Islamic world.
He said that the international community of infidels is conspiring against Islam, and it is becoming common to blaspheme Islamic symbols in the name of freedom of expression. In such circumstances, it is the basic responsibility of the rulers of Pakistan, to raise their voices globally against the Islam-enemy cursed elements and unite the Islamic countries to declare blasphemy against religious symbols as an unforgivable crime.
