HMC will provide support for cath lab to be started at KTH

Peshawar: Medical Teaching Institution Hayatabad Medical Complex (MTI-HMC) and MTI Khyber Teaching Hospital (MTI-KTH) Peshawar have decided to provide perfect cardiology services to the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. In this regard, a delegation consists of senior officers from MTI-KTH visited HMC Peshawar. Hospital Director KTH Dr. Muhammad Zafar Afridi, Medical Director Dr. Muhammad Siraj, Head of Cardiology Department Prof. Dr. Ambar Ashraf and other officers visited the hospital. Purpose of the visit was to see the technology, expertise used in the cath lab of HMC and other necessary arrangements so that KTH can carry out the same in time in the cath lab to be started at KTH next month. On this occasion, HMC Medical Director Professor Dr. Shahzad Akbar, Hospital Director Dr. Shahzad Faisal, officials of the Cardiology Department and other administrative officers made the KTH delegation visit various facilities including cath lab and pharmacy. The Medical Director of KTH Dr. Muhammad Siraj appreciated the facilities and cardio experts available in HMC’s; he said that by utilizing the experiences and facilities of its Cardiology Department an excellent cath lab will be started at KTH soon. He said that not only in the cardiology they want to work together with HMC in other specialties as well and for which they will sign MoUs in the future. HMC Medical Director Prof. Dr. Shahzad Akbar assured KTH of all possible support in starting the cath lab and said that both the hospitals are currently providing the best medical facilities to the patients, he further added that more steps will also be taken to ensure that the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa get the best services in their city.
