Islamabad: President Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI), Sardar Tahir Mehmood, has expressed strong optimism that the New Year will usher in economic revival, stability and sustainable growth for Pakistan, in line with the vision and reform agenda of Prime Minister.
Talking to various visiting delegations at the ICCI Chamber House here on Thursday, Sardar Tahir Mehmood said that Pakistan is entering a critical yet promising phase, where prudent economic policies, continuity of reforms and confidence of the business community can steer the country towards progress. He emphasized that strengthening industry, exports and investment remains vital for achieving long-term economic resilience.
The ICCI President also paid glowing tribute to Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir and other Services Chiefs, acknowledging their unwavering commitment and strategic leadership in making Pakistan’s defence impregnable. He stated that a strong and secure Pakistan provides the foundation for economic growth, investor confidence and national stability.
Sardar Tahir Mehmood reaffirmed ICCI’s commitment to continue playing its proactive role as a bridge between government and the business community, facilitating policy advocacy, promoting trade and investment, and supporting initiatives that contribute to economic uplift.
He added that ICCI will remain at the forefront of efforts aimed at empowering entrepreneurs, supporting SMEs, encouraging youth participation in business, and strengthening public-private partnerships, to help realize Pakistan’s economic potential.
The visiting delegations appreciated ICCI’s leadership and expressed confidence that the Chamber would continue to serve as a driving force for economic development and business-friendly reforms in the country.
