IGP Islamabad actively working for welfare of citizens and police officers

Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi met with Constable Syed Jaffar Ali in his office, where he commended him for demonstrating exceptional performance in official duties, maintaining good discipline, and exhibiting an excellent turnout.

As encouragement, the IGP Islamabad awarded him a certificate of appreciation, a cash reward, and a police shield.

On this occasion, the IGP Islamabad stated that Constable Jaffar carried out his professional responsibilities with honesty, dedication, and a strong spirit of public service, setting an example for other police officers to follow.

He added that dutiful, hardworking, and honest officers like him are a source of pride for Islamabad Police.

Meanwhile, IGP Islamabad also held an Open Court at the Central Police Office under the Open Door Policy. During the session, he listened to the issues of citizens and police officers and issued on-the-spot instructions for their resolution.

The IGP Islamabad directed officers that the prompt and merit-based resolution of citizens’ issues is the top priority. He emphasized that any citizen facing a police-related issue may attend the open court, adding that his doors are always open for citizens.

On citizens’ complaints, he instructed the concerned officers to resolve applications on merit within the prescribed time frame and submit compliance reports to the Central Police Office.

Furthermore, the he also directed all zonal officers and SHOs to meet citizens at their offices during designated hours and ensure the timely and merit-based resolution of their problems.

He added that Islamabad Police is taking various initiatives to facilitate citizens, and the daily conduct of open courts is helping resolve issues on a priority basis.
