Imran Khan, the chairman of the PTI, has expressed a desire to improve relations with the United States through future cooperation with Washington, according to the Financial Times, despite continuing to believe that a “US plot” was responsible for his removal as prime minister.
On April 9, the PTI chairman was removed from office by the then-opposition through a vote of no-confidence, making him the first premier to do so. Khan, who argues that the US views Pakistan as a “slave,” has accused Shehbaz Sharif and the US of being responsible for his departure; both have refuted the allegations.
Khan stated in an interview with the Financial Times that if he returns to power, “he no longer blamed the US” and wants “dignified” relations with the nation.
Khan remarked, “it was over,” in reference to the suspected conspiracy.
“In my opinion, it’s over and I can put it behind me. Good relations with everyone, notably the United States, are a requirement for the Pakistan I want to rule “he stated.
“Our relationship with the US has been one of master-servant or master-slave, and we’ve been exploited like a hired gun,” he said. However, I hold my own governments more accountable than the US for this “The former premier was mentioned in the newspaper.
Many experts now believe that Khan and PTI might see victory in the upcoming general elections, which are scheduled to take place next year, following a boost in popularity brought on in part by his anti-American rhetoric.
Khan insists on “not returning until aims are reached” as he leads a well-publicized anti-government march that is advancing towards Islamabad with convoys from various locations in Pakistan. Early on, the PTI leader requests a date for the federal elections.
After the former premier was the subject of an attempted assassination attack in Wazirabad, the long march was abruptly put to an end last week.
