PM AJK Sardar Tanveer Ilyas Khan met with Chairman PTI, Imran Khan
ISLAMABAD: Former Prime Minister and Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Imran Khan expressed his satisfaction over the performance of PTI led AJK government here on Monday. He expressed this during his meeting with the Prime Minister Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Sardar Tanveer Ilyas Khan in Islamabad. Imran Khan accepted the invitation of PM AJK to address a session in Muzaffarabad on September 29 during the meeting.
Speaking at the occasion, former Chairman PTI Imran Khan said that when PTI was ruling the center then AJK was being ruled by Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N). But, then government of PTI did not stop or cut the budget of the AJK government. Instead the government of PTI increased the budget of the state. On contrary to this the current federal government has stopped the funds of the AJK government just because of the fact that PTI is ruling the state currently, he added.
While directing the PM AJK regarding local body elections in the state, Imran Khan said that political workers of PTI AJK should actively take part in the local body elections. Party workers should take part in local body elections with full preparations, he added. Chairman PTI, Imran Khan vowed that PTI will raise voice for the Kashmir movement at all the forums.
PM AJK said at the occasion that Imran Khan will be given warm welcome in Muzaffarabad on September 29. People of Kashmir are eager to welcome their leader in capital of AJK, he added.
