India cannot alter the constitutional, legal status of IIOJK: JI AJK

Islamabad: The Amir of Jamaat-e-Islami Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, Dr. Muhammad Mushtaq Ahmad, has stated that the agreements and resolutions present in the United Nations Security Council provide clear evidence of the legal status of the Kashmir conflict. He emphasized that India cannot unilaterally alter the constitutional, legal, and international status of occupied Kashmir. As long as the heads of two crore Kashmiris are held high, they will not accept Indian subjugation, and they will continue to strive for freedom. The Jamaat-e-Islami plans to hold an international Kashmir conference on July 13th, urging the global community to raise the Kashmir issue at national and international levels.

While condemning the transfer of 2.1 acres of land to the Maharashtra government, they deemed it part of an agenda to change the Muslim-majority character of the region. Dr. Mushtaq labeled Narendra Modi and Amit Shah as documented global terrorists, likening their actions to shedding Muslim blood like water. He urged Kashmiri journalists to raise the issue nationally and internationally. He praised the services of the Islamic Group, whether for the cause of Kashmir’s freedom, assisting the needy, or addressing natural disasters.

The event was attended by several prominent figures, including Dr. Muhammad Mushtaq Khan, Chief Editor and Owner of Kashmir Link newspaper;  Syed Akram Shah, Chief Editor of Roznama Jammu and Kashmir newspaper Aamir Mahboob, President AKNS Amjad Chaudhry, Chief Editor of Country News; Sardar Abdul Hamid, Shakeel turabi, Khawer Nawaz, Raja Kafeel, Mateen Khawaja, renowned anchor of GTV; Javed Iqbal Chaudhry, Chief Editor of Parliament Times newspaper; Nisar Kiani, Chief Editor of Kashmir Today newspaper; Raja Shafqat, Chief Editor of Al Jazeera newspaper; Raja Khalil, former Secretary-General of the National Press Club Islamabad; and many others.

Dr. Mushtaq emphasized the need for vigilance against any attempt to weaken the Kashmir issue through conspiracies. Despite India’s oppressive tactics, he reaffirmed the unwavering resolve of the people of occupied Kashmir towards freedom. He criticized the recent land transfer in Budgam district as part of an agenda to change the Muslim-majority character of the region. Dr. Mushtaq announced that the Jamaat-e-Islami would convene an international Kashmir conference on July 13th to highlight the urgency of the issue and called upon the global fraternity to play its role in resolving the Kashmir dispute. He stressed the responsibility of the people of free Kashmir in the struggle for freedom and reiterated the importance of the continuous presence of the United Nations in Kashmir as evidence of the significance and legal status of the Kashmir issue.
