Mirpur: The former Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir Chaudhry Abdul Majeed has said that the holding of the G-20 meeting by India in Srinagar is as par with sprinkling salt on the wounds of Kashmiris.

In his statement on Saturday, he said that for the past 75 years, the occupied state of Jammu and Kashmir has been turned into a military camp, where the oppressive rulers of India have never allowed representatives of Amnesty International or international human rights organizations, nor any journalists to go to IIOJK.

“In these circumstances, India is throwing dust in the eyes of the G-20 countries, on which the international community, including the United Nations, should take notice and cancel the G-20 meeting, which is to be scheduled in Srinagar on 22nd May.

Former Prime Minister of AJK Abdul Majeed said that India is the biggest terrorist country in the world. By calling the G-20 conference in Srinagar, India wants to tell the world that the situation in Indian occupied Kashmir is normal, but the ground realities are totally different. On August 5, 2019, India suspended its own constitution and changed the special status of Jammu and Kashmir and imposed Governor’s rule there.

He said that the charter of G-20 organization does not allow any military action or activities in occupied territories, the main objective of this organization is mutual cooperation for peace, development, prosperity and economy.

He said that the Kashmiris do not accept the holding of any international conference on their land in any case. The United Nations should implement its resolutions to give the right of self-determination to the people of Kashmir from India and stop the Indian hypocrites from further interfering in the Indian occupied Kashmir.
