ISLAMABAD: An official statement said that on Friday, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, the federal minister of finance and revenue, met with President Dr. Arif Alvi at the Aiwan-e-Sadr.
During the meeting, the finance minister gave the president a briefing on the nation’s general economic and financial picture, which has been bleak since the disastrous floods.
According to a statement from the President’s Secretariat, the finance czar also gave the president a briefing on the numerous measures the government has done to help the populace, particularly the underprivileged people living in underdeveloped areas of the nation and those affected by the flood.
The statement also said that numerous financial and economic topics were covered at the meeting.
