Islamabad Police conducts search and combing operation in Secretariat area

ISLAMABAD: Following the directives of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, special measures are being undertaken to curb criminal activities and to ensure the safety and security of the federal capital.

In line with these directions, search and combing operations are being carried out on a regular basis across different parts of Islamabad.

In this regard, a search and combing operation was also conducted in the jurisdiction of Secretariat police station, during which 60  individuals, 40 houses, four shops, five vehicles and 35 motorcycles were checked, while 17 suspicious persons were shifted to police station for legal proceedings.

DIG Islamabad Muhammad Jawad Tariq, emphasized that the primary objective of these operations is to tighten the security cordon around criminal elements and to further strengthen the overall security framework of the city.

He further added that Islamabad Police will continue indiscriminate actions against criminals, land grabbers, and drug traffickers.

He also urged citizens to cooperate with the police and to immediately report any suspicious activity to the nearest police station or through the emergency helpline Pucar-15.
