Lahore: Siraj ul Haq, Amir of Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan, emphasized that the 240 million people of Pakistan stand shoulder to shoulder with the people of Kashmir in their struggle for freedom. He stated that the people of Pakistan will remain with the people of Kashmir until their last drop of blood and their last breath. He criticized the rulers for not playing any role in achieving Kashmir’s freedom nor in resolving the issues faced by the people here. He referred to India as a state-sponsored international terrorist and expressed the belief that the nation will hold them accountable.
He stated these views with a meeting with Amir of Jamaat-e-Islami Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, Dr. Muhammad Mushtaq Khan. The meeting included discussions on the Kashmir issue and other political matters. The Secretary-General of Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan, Ameer-ul-Azeem, and the Secretary-General of Jamaat-e-Islami Azad Kashmir, Raja Jehangir Khan, were also present on this occasion.
He said that Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan has a comprehensive plan to liberate Pakistan from the IMF and Kashmir from Modi. He highlighted that over 8 million Kashmiris have been living under Indian occupation for the past four years, enduring the worst state-sponsored terrorism by the occupying Indian forces. India’s war crimes in occupied Kashmir are being noticed by the international community and justice-seeking global organizations.
He further said that India is violating the United Nations Charter and Security Council resolutions, going against their provisions, and the Pakistani government has raised Modi’s illegal actions in the UN Security Council. India is attempting to change the Muslim majority of Kashmir into a minority through these actions. Hundreds of thousands of non-resident Hindus are being settled in Kashmir, while the Islamic identity of Kashmiris is being erased, and their basic human rights are being denied. Thousands of Kashmiris are in Indian torture cells, and the lives of freedom leaders are under severe threat.
He assures that Jamaat-e-Islami continues to raise the Kashmir issue on every international platform and will persist in doing so. Dr. Muhammad Mushtaq Khan, the Amir of Jamaat-e-Islami Azad Jammu and Kashmir, informed about the grave situation in occupied Kashmir and expressed gratitude to Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan for their support. He affirmed that despite all the Indian atrocities, the people of Kashmir are resolute in their pursuit of freedom, and they will not accept anything less than complete independence.
