The former US President has been indicted by the grand jury Manhattan in more than 30 cases related to business fraud.
District Attorney Alvin Bragg is investigating against the former president Trump in the case regarding giving 130,000 dollars to an adult film star Stormy Daniels for not disclosing his secret relations with her during the election campaign in 2016.
It is the first time in American history that a former president has faced criminal charges. Trump is expected to appear in court on Tuesday.
Ex US President Donald Trump has shown his willingness for facing the courts but here in Pakistan, former rulers of the country are running away from the courts d using different illegal tactics to avoid the court hearing against them.
In US, the courts are independent from all types of pressure where the judge cannot even think to be indulged in corrupt practices whereas in Pakistan, the entire system is crooked and every department of the country including judiciary is the part and parcel of this very system.
If anyone wants judge wants to bring even minor changes in the rotted system in Pakistan, he would have been faced the dare consequences like sacrificing his career. Here the different powerful mafias, controls almost all the affairs in every field of life and even governments can do nothing against these strapping circles.
The difference from sky to earth in the behaviors is due to the change of thought in both the societies. On one side a law abiding nation where is corruption is considered as a big crime and on the other hand another nation where law breaking is a common practice, where a separate law for elite class of the society prevails and where rulers think themselves above the law.
The difference is the implementation of law in both the societies. In Pakistan the wealthy class has made the law a “wax nose” as they can turn it according to their personal interests. Here the powerful criminal can be freed even after killing someone publically. The recent precedent is Sharukh Jatoi case in which he killed a youngster in front of public but as he was the son of “big gun” so he was acquitted by the court on the non-availability of ample evidences. Another example of lawlessness in Pakistan is a former MPA Majeed Achakzai crushed a police cop, on duty in Quetta. But he was powerful so he was released by the court despite the fact that there were not only several eye witnesses of the incident but also some of them made the video clip of it, which was later viral through social media.
In US the court can take action against the most powerful man of the world, i.e. American President.
The ground realities between US and Pakistan is so much enormous that the compare cannot be taken place as one can say that one is above the sky and another is beneath the earth in every sphere of life.
The fact is that here in Pakistan the people do not know their legal rights, they don’t have the civic sense. Rather it might be said that the most of Pakistanis do not consider Pakistan their first priority, where in the US everyone loves his country more than any other thing.
But a fact is there that US made a nation in almost 500 years whereas the Pakistan’s age is just 76, which is not as much for the nation’s building.
The Pakistani nation should learn the compliance of law and affection for country. They would have to leave their personal interest at back and bring national interests on front.
