Kashmir independence is very near : Barrister Sultan
India has crossed all the limits in human rights violations in IIOJK but the cruelty will never bow the Kashmiri people. The sacrifices of Kashimiris would not go to waste . World should help them in achieving Independence from Indian occupation
President Azad Jammu and Kashmir Barrister Sultan Mehmood Chaudhary has said that the Kashmiri people would not accept the division of Kashmir at any cost as they have rendered a lot of sacrifices.
He was addressing the Azad Kashmir Legislative Assembly . He said that the people of Indian held Kashmir have poured their blood for their independence and their sacrifices would never go waste .
He said that after suspending the special status of Kashmir on 5th August , 2019 , India has speeded up the sheer violation of human rights in IIOJK and made the lives of Kashmiris miserable there.
“India is changing the demography of Kashmir rapidly . She has issued almost 4.2 million bogus domiciles to non-residents. Similarly the electoral constituencies are changed by delimitation to bring Hindu Chief Ministers in Indian occupied Kashmir. I want to convey a clear message to Modi from the platform of AJK Legislative Assembly that the atrocities cannot subjugate Kashmiris”, he added.
The President said that the dawn of independence for Kashmiri people from Indian clutches is not far away. He said that he had visited several countries to highlight the Kashmir issue internationally.
He apprised the assembly that Additional Secretary General of UNO Khalid Al-Khairy told him that the United Nations’ resolutions on Kashmir are still on the agenda of the international body.
He said that Pakistan and India are both nuclear powers and any minor incident can change into disastrous war between both the countries so it is the obligation of the international community to play their role for implementation of UN’s resolutions on Kashmir. Peace in the region is not possible without solving the Kashmir problem.
Barrister Sultan was of the view that every single citizen, even each child of Azad Kashmir , which is considered the base camp of the independence movement, is standing shoulder to shoulder with the people of IIOJK in their struggle for their liberation.
