Kashmiri community in Saudi Arabia express concern over restrictions in IIOJK

Riyadh: The Kashmiri community, living in Saudi Arabia, organized an Eid Milan party where they deeply expressed concern over the ban on offering Jumatul Wida, Shab-e-aQadr and Eid prayers and cancellation of Eid holiday in Jamia Masjid, Srinagar, Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the Eid Milan was organized by senior leader of All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir chapter and Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Freedom League, Muhammad Farooq Rahmani.

Leaders of the Kashmiri community, Sardar Waqas Inayat and Raja Pervez informed Mohammad Farooq Rahmani about the activities in Saudi Arabia regarding Kashmir.

On the occasion, the United Nations and human rights organizations were urged to use their influence to end the harsh restrictions imposed on Kashmiris.

Mohammad Farooq Rahmani gave a briefing on the latest situation in occupied Jammu and Kashmir. He said the Modi government is now taking away livelihood from the Kashmiris. He lamented that the education system was being painted in the colour of Hindutva and Islamic endowments have also been captured.

He said the history and religion of the occupied territory is being reversed. He emphasized the need for resolution of the Kashmir dispute on the basis of the right to self-determination.

Farooq Rahmani said the grief of each part of Palestine is our grief. Because Palestine is the land of Prophets, Al-Aqsa Mosque is the first Qibla and freedom is the fundamental right of this country, he maintained.

After that, a detailed meeting was also held with the Consul General of Pakistan, Khalid Majeed.

Mohammad Farooq Rahmani apprised the Consul General about the latest situation in occupied Jammu and Kashmir and appreciated the role of the Pakistani Embassy in Saudi Arabia.
