Mob attacks Hira Mani, Gul e Rana, others during shoot in Karachi
A group of Pakistani celebrities including film director Nabeel Qureshi, actors Mani, Hira Mani and Gul-e-Rana, were subjected to a vicious attack by a mob during a shoot in Karachi on Monday.
The attackers reportedly hounded female actors and crew members as well as stole equipment and mobile phones during the PIB Colony incident.
In a series of tweets, Nabeel Qureshi, the director of Load Wedding, provided information regarding the appalling incident.
He stated in one of the tweets that the attackers were armed and posed a serious threat to the safety of those on the set of the movie.
The director appealed to the authorities to pursue the culprits and ensure the artist community in Pakistan’s safety.
In an Instagram story, Hira Mani also said that it was a bad thing to see.
She expressed gratitude to the crew member for rescuing them from the criminals and wished them speedy recovery, as they are currently in the hospital.
Mahira Khan, Osman Khalid Butt, and other famous people in Pakistan have expressed their disbelief and demanded answers from the authorities following the attack.
