The Indian Defense Minister Raj Nath Singh said in an interview to a foreign news channel,: “Any terrorist from a neighboring country who attempts to disrupt India’s peace, who carries out terrorist activities here, we will give a befitting reply. If he flees to Pakistan, we will enter Pakistan and kill him.”
He also said, “India always wants to maintain good relations with its neighboring countries… but if anyone comes to India and tries to promote terrorist activities, we will not spare them.”
Pakistan asked the international community to hold India accountable for its state terrorism and to prevent it from carrying out such illegal actions. Pakistan also showed her strong determination for protecting her sovereignty against any aggression, as evidenced by its robust response to India’s adventurism in February 2019, which exposed India’s hollow claims of military superiority.
As a matter of fact the elections are very near in India and it looks like the ruling Bhartia Janta Party (BJP) will lose elections. Now Indian Prime Minister Modi and his companions are exerting undue pressure on Pak to attract the attention of the voters .
Though Pakistan has a strong desire for regional peace, India should not consider this wish as a weakness of Pakistan as the defense of Pakistan is in safe hands. Pakistan has given reply some five years back in befitting manner in the broad daylight.
It has become the mindset of Indian political leadership that they abuse Pakistan to get the votes whereas in Pakistan ,the politicians have a lot of internal issues to discuss during the election campaign.
This statement by Indian Defense Minister Rajnath Singh comes after a report in the British newspaper, which stated that under a broad plan to eliminate terrorists residing on foreign soil, the Indian government has killed approximately 20 individuals in Pakistan from 2020 till now.
India had accused Pakistan of involvement in a suicide bombing attack on an Indian military convoy in Kashmir in 2019, which led to severe strains in relations between the two countries. At the beginning of last year, Pakistan had claimed to possess credible evidence implicating Indian agents in the killings of two Pakistani civilians on its soil.
However, India dismissed it as “false and baseless” propaganda. Prior to Pakistan, both the United States and Canada had accused Indian agents of attempting to carry out killings on their soil.
Canada stated last September that it was investigating “credible allegations” of Indian involvement in the death of Sikh separatist leader Hardeep Singh Nijjar in June, which India termed as “ridiculous.”
On the other hand, the United States said last November that it had thwarted an Indian plot to kill a Sikh separatist leader.
In relation to these incidents, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi had stated that India would investigate any information it received regarding the matter.
