Students Showcase Research, Innovation, and Cultural Diversity
An expo was organized jointly by NUML University Mirpur Campus and the Azad Jammu and Kashmir Chamber of Commerce and Industry at the Chamber House. The expo was inaugurated by former government minister Chaudhry Muhammad Saeed, who later visited and inspected the stalls.
The expo featured stalls representing different cultures, languages, cuisines, traditions, and civilizations. Students from various academic disciplines presented their research projects, models, and innovative ideas, which were widely appreciated by the participants.
It was highlighted during the expo that 27 languages are spoken across the world, while NUML University is teaching 18 different languages to its male and female students. Addressing the gathering, former minister Chaudhry Muhammad Saeed, Director NUML University Mirpur Campus Saifullah Khan, President Azad Jammu and Kashmir Chamber of Commerce Umar Shehzad Jarral, and others emphasized the importance of language education in the modern world.
The event was attended by Chairman District Council Raja Naveed Akhtar Goga, State Officer MDA Chaudhry Amjad Iqbal, former assembly candidate Chaudhry Sohaib Saeed, former government secretary Mahmood Khan, Assistant Director 1122 Sardar Najam Shahab, President Anjuman Falah-o-Bahbood Insaniyat Dr Tahir Mahmood, directors of NUML Faisalabad, Rawalpindi, and Lahore campuses, faculty members, students, and media representatives.
Speakers said that NUML University is equipping its students with proficiency in 18 international languages, which will serve as a backbone for the national economy, as mastery of a country’s language is essential for industrial and trade relations. They noted that such expos help highlight the educational, research, and creative abilities of students.
According to the university administration, the objective of the expo was to provide students with practical exposure and align them with modern requirements. Such academic and research-oriented programs help build students’ confidence and play an important role in their professional training. Appreciating the efforts of the students, the speakers said NUML University will continue to organize similar activities in the future, which will contribute to the promotion of industrial, economic, and tourism activities in the State of Jammu and Kashmir.
