Paigham-e-Pakistan Committee Delegation Meets AJK PM, Vows to Promote Peace and Unity

Muzaffarabad: A high-level delegation of the Qaumi Paigham-e-Aman Committee, led by prominent religious scholar Tahir Mahmood Ashrafi, called on Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Chaudhry Faisal Mumtaz Rathore in Muzaffarabad.

During the meeting, the delegation reaffirmed its commitment to promoting peace, interfaith harmony, and national unity across Azad Kashmir. The participants emphasized their readiness to extend full cooperation in initiatives aimed at strengthening stability and cohesion in the region.

The delegation included prominent religious and community leaders such as Maulana Raghib Naeemi, Maulana Zubair Faheem, Maulana Yousaf Kashmiri, Dr. Muhammad Asif Khan Qadri, Maulana Ziaullah Shah Bukhari, Allama Arif Hussain Shah Wahidi, Maulana Zahid Mansoor, Mufti Abdul Rahim, Allama Tauqeer Abbas, Mufti Usman, Rajesh Kumar, and Ramesh Singh Arora.

On the occasion, AJK Minister for Information Chaudhry Rafiq Nayyar, Special Political Assistant to the Prime Minister Syed Aizadar Shah, Prime Minister’s Spokesperson Shaukat Javed Mir, and PRO Shaukat Khaksar Rathore were also present.

Speaking during the meeting, Tahir Mahmood Ashrafi stated that the core mission of the committee is to promote the message of “Paigham-e-Pakistan” and strengthen unity, cohesion, and religious harmony throughout the country. He described Azad Kashmir as a peaceful region that reflects exemplary sectarian harmony and interfaith coexistence, adding that this model should be highlighted globally.

He said the struggle of the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir is a reality and expressed confidence that they would ultimately achieve their right to self-determination. He assured that the committee would extend full support to all efforts aimed at promoting peace, stability, and unity in Pakistan and Azad Kashmir.

Praising the leadership of Chaudhry Faisal Mumtaz Rathore, he said that the Prime Minister has been steering governance with vision and wisdom, which is commendable. He also warned that hostile elements are intensifying efforts to destabilize Pakistan and Azad Kashmir, but reaffirmed that such designs would be thwarted.

He proposed holding a conference of religious scholars in Azad Kashmir, particularly during upcoming national events, to further strengthen unity and send a strong message of solidarity across Pakistan.

The delegation also appreciated the role of Pakistan’s leadership, including President and Prime Minister, as well as Asim Munir, for their commitment to peace, stability, and national cohesion.

Members of the delegation reiterated that Azad Kashmir stands as a symbol of peace and harmony and pledged to promote this message across the country. They emphasized the need to counter extremism, foster tolerance, and strengthen mutual respect within society.

The meeting concluded with a shared resolve to enhance cooperation for promoting peace, unity, and interfaith harmony across Pakistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
