Several agreements for enhancing cooperation in various fields including border issues , combating terrorism , Pak Iran gas pipeline, trade, energy, relations, culture, and people-to-people contacts were signed between two neighboring Muslim countries, Pakistan and Iran during the ongoing visit of Iranian President Dr. Ibrahim Raisi to Islamabad. In January of the previous year, Iran claimed to have killed terrorists within Pakistan’s borders, prompting Pakistan to launch an attack on hidden locations of separatist terrorist groups inside Iranian territory, resulting in the elimination of nine terrorists.
According to diplomatic sources, due to border terrorism and attacks, both countries had agreed to appoint senior military officers from both sides as liaison officers to prevent border disputes and resolve issues in a timely manner.
