Peshawar CTD issues photos of mosque suicide bomber
The Peshawar Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) on Monday released photographs of the suicide bomber who blew himself up in the Police Lines mosque on Jan 30, and offered a reward of Rs10 million to anyone providing information about the attacker and his facilitators.
Peshawar, a city that has remained at the forefront of the war on terrorism during the American onslaught against the Taliban regime in Kabul since 9/11, saw the suicide bombing that resulted in the deaths of approximately 86 people.
In one of the police-released photos, the suicide bomber was seen with a mask on before the attack, and in another, he was seen with his face mutilated after blowing himself up.
Instructions for police officers The Peshawar Capital City Police have issued a circular prohibiting officers from entering the Police Lines mosque with weapons or security vests on.
