PM AJK, Amir Muqam discuss current situation in IIOJK, development projects in AJK

Islamabad: The Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Chaudhry Anwar-ul-Haq, and the Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit-Baltistan Engineer Amir Maqam, held a meeting at the Jammu Kashmir House in Islamabad. During the meeting, the current situation in occupied Kashmir, mutual interest in developmental projects including those in Azad Kashmir, and various other matters were discussed.

Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit-Baltistan Engineer Amir Maqam, reiterated Pakistan’s political, moral, and diplomatic support for the Kashmir freedom movement. He emphasized the intrinsic connection between Pakistan and Kashmir, stating that the Kashmiri people’s struggle for their legitimate rights will eventually succeed with the help of the Almighty. He condemned the atrocities of the Indian army against civilians in occupied Kashmir.

Moreover, he assured complete cooperation with the Prime Minister in developmental projects in Azad Kashmir. He expressed Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif’s deep interest in the development and progress of Azad Kashmir and affirmed that the federal government would continue to collaborate with the Azad Kashmir government.

Prime Minister Azad Kashmir Chaudhry Anwar-ul-Haq congratulated Engineer Amir Maqam on assuming the position of Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs and expressed confidence in his abilities to handle the responsibilities effectively. He highlighted the unwavering love of the people of Kashmir for Pakistan, likening it to the affection they hold for the Kaaba after Allah’s house. He emphasized the sacrifices made by Kashmiris for the love of the green crescent flag and their continuous struggle for their rights.

Furthermore, they exchanged views on the ongoing developmental projects in Azad Kashmir, indicating a mutual commitment to furthering progress in the region.
