PM AJK Faisal Rathore vows unwavering public service

MUZAFFARABAD: Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Faisal Mumtaz Rathore has continued to devote his official schedule to public service, holding a series of meetings with delegations and citizens from across the region. Since assuming office, the Prime Minister has centred his priorities on directly addressing public concerns and ensuring timely relief.

According to official sources, Rathore spent the day in continuous engagement with groups representing various districts. He listened to grievances, reviewed local issues and issued immediate directives for their resolution. Delegations from Haveli, Muzaffarabad, Hattian and Chakar met the Prime Minister and briefed him on community-level challenges. A delegation from Mirpur affiliated with the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) also held discussions with him.

PPP leaders from Muzaffarabad, led by Sardar Tabarak Khan, met the Prime Minister and presented regional demands and recommendations. In addition, the PPP Women Wing delegation, led by Shagufta Noreen, held a separate meeting to discuss social sector concerns, including matters relating to women’s empowerment and public services.

A delegation of PPP workers from across AJK, headed by Dr Ilyas, also called on the Prime Minister, followed by representatives of the PWD Workers Convention, led by Sardar Iftikhar Shaheen. Each delegation highlighted issues specific to their constituencies, ranging from infrastructural needs to administrative matters, and received assurances of prompt action.

Speaking during his interaction with the delegations, Prime Minister Rathore emphasized that public service remains his core mission. “Our life and death are with the people,” he stated, reiterating that the PPP is rooted in the struggles and aspirations of ordinary citizens. He described the party’s relationship with Pakistan as one of deep commitment and shared destiny. “If Pakistan exists, we exist,” he remarked, stressing that addressing public hardship is central to his government’s agenda.

The Prime Minister reaffirmed that his administration is working on a fast-track model to meet public expectations, adding that service delivery will be enhanced through sustained reforms. “We will work day and night within the limited time available. Restoring public confidence is our top priority,” he said.

Rathore further highlighted that health and education remain focal areas of his government’s policy framework, with institutional improvements expected to be visible in the near future. He underlined that collective development measures would be pursued to ensure that citizens benefit from tangible progress and governance stability.

With daily interactions and decisive directions issued to officials, the Prime Minister reiterated that the needs of the people will remain central to his leadership approach, signalling continued responsiveness and accountability across all administrative tiers.
