PM AJK visits safe city project headquarters in Lahore

Briefed on advanced surveillance, security systems and emergency response mechanisms

Lahore: Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Chaudhry Faisal Mumtaz Rathore, visited the headquarters of the Lahore Safe City Authority in Lahore, where he was given a detailed briefing on the project’s performance and modern security framework.

Chief Executive Officer of the Safe City Project, Muntansir Feroz, warmly received the Prime Minister and briefed him on the institution’s operations, security arrangements, and state-of-the-art surveillance systems.

The Prime Minister was informed about the integrated mechanisms for emergency response, traffic management, and coordination among law enforcement agencies. Officials highlighted that under the Safe City Project, a network of advanced cameras, monitoring systems, and data analytics is being utilized across the city to prevent crime and ensure public safety.

Authorities also took the Prime Minister on a visit to various control rooms, where they explained the effectiveness and outcomes achieved through the use of modern technology in maintaining law and order. Inspector General of Police Azad Kashmir, Liaquat Ali Malik, accompanied the Prime Minister during the visit.

The AJK Prime Minister appreciated the performance of the Safe City Project, describing it as a successful model for strengthening urban security and governance.
