PML-N wish Nawaz Sharif’s presence during election campaign: Rana Sanaullah

Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah said the party anticipates Nawaz Sharif’s presence in the country during the election campaign, clarifying that the decision to return would. however, purely depend on Nawaz Sharif.

the interior minister said that this is the election year, therefore all political parties are gearing up for rallies and have started preparations for upcoming election, PML-N is also going to show its political strength after Eid.

Responding to PTI chairman Imran Khan’s call for march towards Islamabad and sit in, Sanaullah said: “PTI have kicked off election campaign and if it wants to stage a sit-in, the government would welcome them as we had entertained them in past.”

The interior minister further added that due to PTI’s last four years’ performance, Imran Khan would not have that momentum and power as he had during 2014 sit in.

Responding to a question regarding the return of party supremo Nawaz Sharif and his presence in election campaign, the PML-N senior leader went on to say that party wants Nawaz Sharif to return after completion of his treatment and wishes him to be present in Pakistan during the election campaign.

“PML-N will probably kick off its election campaign by the end of this year or in next year, however, the decision to return will purely be of Nawaz Sharif,” he added.

“Nawaz Sharif’s presence is necessary for PML-N in every matter as he had presided our meetings and addressed in public gatherings through video link,” he said, adding that “now hoping Nawaz Sharif would not be addressing virtually any more.”

Sanaullah said that Nawaz would return and his presence would play important role in PML-N success in upcoming election.

Lambasting former prime minister Imran Khan for his decisions, the interior minister said: “He does not accept anything, he neither accepts Opposition government nor his own allies.”

“Now Imran Khan is fabricating a fake narrative of conspiracy,” he said.
