Every citizen has the fundamental right to vote for whichever party he wants, similarly every member of a political party also has this right. And to take away this right is a dictatorship. Democracy is a fundamental right, which is also in the country. And it should be given within the political party as well. Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Faiz Isa made these remarks yesterday while declaring the intra-party election of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf null and void during the hearing of the case of not giving the bat symbol. Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf filed an appeal in the Peshawar High Court to cancel the decision of the Election Commission and the Peshawar High Court canceled the decision of the Election Commission and ordered the restoration of the election symbol of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf. But the Election Commission filed an appeal in the Supreme Court against the decision of the Peshawar High Court, after which the appeal was heard by a bench headed by the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court. Vote in the same way every member of a political party has this right. And to take away this right is a dictatorship. Democracy is a fundamental right which should be given in the country as well as within the political party. Chief Justice of Justice Faiz Isa of Pakistan gave these remarks yesterday during the hearing of the case of the Election Commission declaring the intra-party election of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf null and void. An appeal was filed in the Peshawar High Court for cancellation and the Peshawar High Court canceled the decision of the Election Commission and ordered the restoration of the election symbol of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf bat. But the Election Commission went against the decision of the Peshawar High Court. An appeal was filed in the Supreme Court, after which the appeal was heard by a bench headed by the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court.
The three-member bench under the patronage of the Chief Justice of Pakistan gave a decision after the completion of the proceedings, nullified the decision of the Peshawar High Court and extended the decision of the Election Commission. The Chief Justice demanded the establishment of full democracy in the country. It is necessary to give the right to vote to every member of the party in the election of officials in the political parties, and not doing so is called dictatorship, and it has marked a fundamental reason for not establishing a real democratic system in the country even in the 21st century. . Political analysts have been expressing this for years. But in most political parties even today, party members do not have this right to vote in the real sense. It has been stated that in the election process, the restrictions of the procedure given in the constitution of the party itself have not been made. It is generally a sports spectacle and virtually all nominations are fictitious۔
Apart from Jamaat-e-Islami, Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam and Awami National Party, no political party in Pakistan has this system in which every worker of the party has the right to vote, but the best and most organized system of internal elections in the three parties is Jamaat. It exists in Islami in which all officials from the lower level to the center are elected by the vote of party workers and any political party except Jamaat-e-Islami empowers its workers to vote freely and without any pressure from the lower level to the center. It cannot claim the election of positions. This is the reason that the leadership of political parties is generally established by family monopoly. There are also examples that not only party matters, but in case of gaining power, families also hold key government positions. Due to this, the democratic culture cannot be developed in the political parties. Their organization is not stable at the lower level among the people, and real closeness is not created between the leadership and the people. And those who flatter are promoted, while those who point out mistakes are disliked and pushed to the back ranks. and such a situation scatters the Shiraz of political parties. In case of getting the government, a few people keep a strong grip on the power and resources. This system devolves power to the lower level and raises real leadership from the people’s rights to the higher elected houses and this process becomes a means of real and national development of which brief examples are also present in our neighboring countries. Therefore, all Political parties should organize intra-party elections according to real standards and this should be prohibited.
