The biography cautions that Princess Diana’s entire life is “simply waiting to happen” as a TV drama.
The author and official biographer of Princess Diana, Andrew Morton, has disclosed this.
His 1992 autobiography Diana, Her True Story exposed the three-person marriage between King Charles, Diana, and Camilla.
Morton gave his friend Dr. James Colthurst instructions on how to write the entire biography, according to Town & Country Magazine. To be quite honest with you, the tale of how Diana: Her True Story was created was a TV drama waiting to happen, he said.
In the course of the conversation, he also mentioned his role as a consultant on The System, saying, “I had eight scriptwriters on a conference call discussing the utmost details of that time. Thank goodness, I recorded everything.
Additionally, he verified that The Crown’s major episodes were accurate as well as the breaking that occurred in his office as he was penning the exposé.
The Royal Protection Squad was looking for my contact in a very discreet way, he recounted during the conversation. “I was alerted by two people, [royal reporter] Richard Kay and [royal photographer] Arthur Edwards, that they were going over everything.
Afterward, within a few weeks of that warning, my workplace was broken into when I showed up there one day, he continued. Files were browsed while a camera was stolen. However, there was never any storage for the tapes there. James had a habit of keeping the tapes.
