Protest against illegal detentions of Kashmiri youngsters

Muzaffarabad: A protest was organized by Pasban-e-Hurriyat Jammu Kashmir against the arrest of more than 100 Kashmiri citizens from various districts of Occupied Kashmir by the Indian troops.

According to the details, large number of people gathered at old Secretariat Muzaffarabad against the illegal arrest of Kashmiri citizens from Rajouri, Poonch and Bandipora areas.

People were chanting slogans against Indian cruelty and violence of Indian soldiers like “Indian terrorism not allowed”, “Free Kashmiri prisoners”, “Kashmir that has been watered with blood is ours”.

Speakers on the occasion has said that Indian soldiers and paramilitary forces during the ongoing siege in Bandipora and Rajouri districts has arrested more than 100 Kashmiri citizens.

They maintained that at least more than 70 illegal arrests have been made from Shahdara area of ​​Rajouri district.

Speakers said that the Bharatiya Janata Party government under the leadership of Narendra Modi is committing the worst atrocities to spoil the Muslim identity of the state of Jammu and Kashmir.

“Arrests, imprisonments, firing Kashmiri people from jobs and confiscating their properties has become the norm of the Modi government under the guise of black laws”, they lamented.

They demanded the international human rights organizations, Amnesty International, Asia Watch and other organizations to play role for the release of innocent Kashmiri prisoners in Indian jails.

Speakers also demanded the international human rights organizations to take notice of the Indian state terrorism through its armed forces in the state of Jammu and Kashmir.

“The international organizations should declare the illegal actions of the Indian government on August 5, 2019 null and void and give the Kashmiri people the right to self-determination to decide their political future”, they added.

The protest was led by Chairman Pasban-e-Hurriyat Uzair Ahmed Ghazali, Hurriyat leaders Mushtaq-ul-Islam, Syed Abdul Samad, Khalid Mehmood Zaidi, Usman Ali Hashim, Muhammad Iqbal Mir, Muhammad Aslam Inqalabi, Rawais Ahmed Sheikh, Faisal Farooq Sheikh, Liaqat Ali Rana, Muhammad Fayyaz Khan and others.
