Asad Umar, secretary general of the PTI, confirmed the party’s absence from the conference.

The party of former Prime Minister Imran Khan and other national political leaders had been invited by PM Shehbaz.

PTI had been officially informed of the PM’s invitation by Federal Minister Ayaz Sadiq.

The premier had expressed the hope that all political leaders would join the APC in his address earlier today while he was chairing the meeting of the apex committee in Peshawar.

However, Asad Umar, the leader of the PTI, stated that Imran Khan would not sit down and converse with leaders who fabricated false allegations against party leaders.

General Asim Munir, the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), and the interim chief ministers of all four provinces will also be present at the Monday meeting.
