The first-ever Safi Ramadan Cricket Festival was held from 28 Mar to 5 April 2023, under the overall arrangements of the District Administration and Frontier Corps North. The festival saw participation from 15 teams comprising over 200 players from various areas of Tehsil Safi. Cash prizes, trophies and medals were distributed among the best performers of the event. The final match and closing ceremony were witnessed by locals, Mashrans and a large number of youth from the local population. The Safi Ramadan Cricket Festival was the first event of its kind organized during Ramadan in Tehsil Safi. The locals appreciated the efforts of the Civil Administration and Frontier Corps North for creating a healthy environment for the youth. They said that “The event was a great success and helped promote sportsmanship and unity among the local population. We hope to see more such events in the future as well”.
