Rotary Club Islamabad Metropolitan launched National Plantation Drive
Shehzad Khalil, member environment CDA, kicked off campaign by planting a sapling
Islamabad: A plantation campaign was started by Rotary Club Islamabad Metropolitan in Islamabad to fulfill the dream of a clean and green Pakistan, which was inaugurated by Member Environment CDA Shahzad Khalil. During this campaign, Rotary Club Islamabad Metropolitan planted more than 300 saplings, including kachnar, silver oaks, guava, peach and loquat saplings. Addressing the event, Member Environment CDA praised the efforts of Rotary Club Islamabad Metropolitan and called it a wonderful initiative for the environment and said that Rotary Club has always been in the frontline of such public welfare initiatives. On this occasion, CDA Director Environment Rana Kashif also appreciated the efforts made by Rotary Club Islamabad Metropolitan regarding clean and green Pakistan. The event held in Islamabad was attended by Rotary Club Islamabad Metropolitan President Dr. Ezra Yasmin, Mian Shaukat Masood, Shabbir Malik and other members associated with the Rotary Club. Students of Interact Club also participated in the event and contributed to this plantation drive on behalf of Interact Club by planting saplings. At the end of the event a group photo was also organized.
