The public has been informed by the Karachi Traffic Police of the closure of Seaview Road in Karachi for today’s International Defence Exhibition and Seminar (IDEAS) event.
With a ceremony taking place today at Nishan-i-Pakistan Park at Seaview, the 11th edition of IDEAS is taking place from November 15 to November 18 at the Karachi Expo Centre.
The public was also made aware of other routes by traffic police.
General traffic coming from Ghora Chowrangi in the direction of Khayaban-i-Bahria will encounter complete closure of the Seaview Road until 6 o’clock.
According to the announcement, only vehicles with an entry pass would be permitted to pass via Ghora Chowrangi.
It said that those who wanted to travel from the Clock Tower to McDonald’s will be rerouted to Khayaban-i-Saba from Seaview Bahria (from where they could continue their journey).
Khayaban-i-Shamsheer to McDonald’s traffic would all be detoured to the lanes to the right and left of Khayaban-i-Saba via the Saudi Consulate signal.
It further stated that 26th Street and Khayaban-i-Saba would be the new routes for all traffic coming from Hyperstar, Clifton, and Seaview Road.
The public was urged by the news release to take the indicated routes and contact the traffic police helpline at (1915) if there were any problems.
Additionally, it was suggested that the public tune in to Sindh Police FM (88.6) for additional traffic reports.
