Frontier Corps North, in its continued commitment to uplifting the local community, successfully organized the 2nd Skill Development Program for the youth of Salarzai in the Bajaur district. The program, held from May 8th to June 3rd, aimed to impart valuable and profitable skills to the local youth, enabling them to pursue a brighter future. Following the success of the 1st Program held in February 2023, where 30 students were trained, with 10 locals securing admission to CTTI Islamabad for mining-related training, the 2nd Technical Skill Enhancement Program expanded its offerings. This time, the program included comprehensive training in Computer Skills, Basic Electrical Skills, Vehicle Mechanics Course and Vehicle Driving Course. A total of 58 students actively participated in the Skill Enhancement Training and successfully completed the program. The rigorous training equipped them with essential technical skills, positioning them for better employment opportunities and entrepreneurial ventures. To recognize the achievements of the trained individuals, Frontier Corps North organized a grand Certificate Award Ceremony on June 10th, 2023. The ceremony was attended by approximately 150 locals, including the parents of the students and esteemed community elders (Maliks). During the ceremony, prizes were distributed among the best students in each skill group, further encouraging their pursuit of excellence. The youth of Salarzai expressed their heartfelt appreciation for this significant initiative and enthusiastically called for the continuation of such programs in the future, acknowledging the immense value they bring to the local community. Frontier Corps North has facilitated these opportunities for the youth of Bajaur district, empowering them with essential skills that will contribute to their personal growth and the socio-economic development of the area. The success of this program reflects Frontier Corps North’s dedication to fostering a skilled workforce and nurturing a prosperous community.
