Karachi: Sindh High Court (SHC) has ordered to provide security to Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.

According to the details, SHC judge Justice K.K. Agha heard a petition seeking security for PPP chairman.

During the proceedings, Bilawal Bhutto’s lawyer informed court that there is security threat for PPP chairperson and various security agencies have also issued threat alerts in this regard.

In response, Justice K.K. Agha said that in view of reports of various agencies it seems like Bilawal Bhutto has security threat.

“Providing complete security to Bilawal Bhutto is necessary. No further delay is acceptable in this regard,” the Justice said.

The court further instructed Home Department Sindh and Federal Secretary for Ministry of Interior to ensure security arrangements for Bilawal Bhutto, while directing government to provide comprehensive security to PPP chairperson at public places.

The court also allowed Bilawal Bhutto Zardari to use a personal security guard and a vehicle with tinted windows.

Bilawal Bhutto had filed a petition in SHC in 2016 seeking security.
